Friday night Hilton Hawaii Fireworks viewed from the Vida Mia

Fresh Catch Friday

Fireworks Cruise

6:30 pm - 8:00 PM

Looking for the best way to enjoy the Fireworks in Waikiki?

Enjoy front-row seats to the fireworks show aboard Hawaii's favorite classic yacht.

We've partnered with Aloha Culinary Group and McNeil and Red to offer an unforgettable way to watch the Friday night fireworks, on board the historic Vida Mia. Departing right from Waikiki, the Vida Mia Fresh Catch Fireworks Cruise is one of the best ways to end another gorgeous island day.

Our coastal cruise offers great views of Diamond Head as we tour the coast of Waikiki and Honolulu. Sea conditions are calm later in the evening. The winds are low and the ocean is calm, making it an ideal time to view the sunset. We often see pods of dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. Guests are invited to tour the entire historic vessel and our knowledgeable crew is there to help pass on stories and history of the iconic Vida Mia.

Live Entertainment

Live local music by McNeil and Red. Geoff and Alastar are two of the best entertainers on the island and have taken residency on the Vida Mia. The amount of effort they put into their work shows in every performance. Their music is contemporary, but generally off the beaten track songs you forgot you love to hear. They always add a bit of island flare to the performance, weaving in vintage Hawaiian music and contemporary local harmonies. You may even find yourself singing along (we do).

From Farm, Ranch & Ocean to the Deck

Our menu items are all locally sourced, grown by local farmers and caught by local fisherman from Oahu and neighbor islands - Oahu, Molokai, Maui, Kauai, Lanai and the Big Island. The menu is created by a group of local chefs who have a shared interest in bringing island flavors to life in new creative ways. The only reason the meal comes out late is because Chef Sean was stuck on his boat fishing.

All of the menu items are prepared in a certified commercial kitchen right in Waikiki, and prepared and served for our guests during the cruise.

Our Dinner Cruise Menu

Diner service depends on the ocean conditions. Safety and guest comfort is our priority. We generally find the menu is best experienced served family style in the salon. Upon boarding, guests are served with fresh local oysters and champagne.

For guests that have trouble moving about the vessel, we offer personal service and our crew is happy to course out for dinner service so our guests can sit back and relax.

Menus vary by season, but generally the Fresh Catch Menu includes:

Kualoa Ranch Oysters

Ceviche with Fresh Taro Chips

Fresh Caught Hebe with Grabice

Huli Huli Chicken with Pineapple Chutney

Molokai Sweet Potatoes

Grilled Longbean

Watermelon, Feta and Mint Salad

Our beautiful desserts are provided by Tiny Pyramid

Our locally sourced dinner menu is prepared fresh every day from our chefs at Aloha Culinary Group.

Most of the dinner menu is gluten-free, but please contact our reservations team with specific requests or questions for allergies and dietary restrictions. There is also a field in the checkout screen to enter in specific requests. These are reviewed by our chef and by our crew 24-48 hours before departure.

Departs from Waikiki

Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor

We depart from Waikiki Friday evenings and embark on a leisurely 90-minute tour along the coast of Honolulu. Fireworks are at 7:45pm and the tour will come in as the fireworks finale. Guests are back in the harbor by 8:15 or so, with ample time to hit the nightlife in waikiki. Many of the local bars and restaurants and hotels are just steps away from the harbor.

The Friday Night Fireworks Cruise is a favorite for many of our local residents and members of our boating and harbor community. We ask that you do not bring children or pets, as the cruises are usually full. We do invite you to bring pets and children along for one of our coffee cruises, which depart daily at 7:00am and 10:00am.

Finding Us

We are conveniently located near all the major hotels. We share the harbor with the nearby Prince Waikiki, Ilikai Hotel, and the Hilton Hawaiian Village. If you are staying at the Royal Hawaiian, Outrigger Waikiki, or Sheraton Waikiki we are a short 10-15 minute walk along the beach. Many of our hotel guests take a morning stroll over to the harbor or rent a Biki bike at one of their kiosks. There is a nice bike path along the beach; you can catch it right at the end of Lewers Street or take the scenic route and cut through the path at the Hale Koa Hotel.

The parking lot is usually very full on Friday nights due to the fireworks, we recommend taking a ride share such as Uber or Lyft or walking over from the parking lot at one of the hotels.
